Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem tagged along with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on Tuesday in multiple raids targeting criminal illegal immigrants in Arizona.

Noem rode with around 100 federal agents, capturing three illegal immigrants who were wanted on weapons and drug charges related to a money laundering scheme.

Multiple videos from Noem’s ride along showcased the heroic and dangerous work ICE agents engage in on a daily basis in order to capture and deport illegal aliens engaged in criminal activity.

In one video, Noem posed with ICE agents holding an assault-style firearm while explaining that “we are going to go out and pick up somebody who I think has got charges of human trafficking. Earlier, had an [operation] that swept up somebody who was wanted for murder, so I appreciate the good work they do everyday and we appreciate them working to keep America safe.”

Throughout the day Noem released an update, writing: “Arizona is safer this morning after a successful operation getting criminal illegal aliens and gang members off our streets. Thank you to our brave law enforcement officers. If you are in this country illegally, we will find you, arrest you, and send you back.”

Noem also allowed Chaya Raichik, the owner of the popular X account “Libs of TikTok,” to tag along for a portion of the day, as Raichik posted a video showcasing Noem speaking with an illegal alien who was detained in a van as he seemingly attempted to kick her with his shoes.

“This illegal was so mad he was getting arrested so he tried blocking us and hiding with his CROC. DHS Secretary Noem: ‘You’re not scaring me with your crocs,’” Raichik posted.

According to DHS, one of the individuals arrested was Bonifacio Renteria-Cruz, who is an illegal migrant felon from Mexico accused of having ties to the Sinaloa Cartel. Renteria-Cruz also has a warrant out for his arrest in Mexico for a homicide.

Jose Escobar-Robles was also another individual arrested, as he is allegedly involved in a money laundering scheme with ties to Mexican cartels involved in drug smuggling and human trafficking.

Lastly, the third individual detained was Luis Garcia-Sanchez, an alleged 18th Street gang member wanted on felony narcotics charges.

Garcia-Sanchez has been twice ordered to be removed from the country, according to the DHS.

Noem also spoke to Garcia-Sanchez, asking him why he came back after previously being deported, and asking him if he wants a better life for his children.

“Go deal with the consequences of breaking the law here. Give them an example of being a better person,” Noem stated.

Additionally, Noem also discussed the Alien Registration Act of 1940 set to take effect on April 11th.

The law requires illegal aliens who have been in the United States for 30 days or longer to register with the federal government or face punishment as severe as deportation.

“We’re past the deadline of the Alien Registration Act, so everyone in this country illegally now, it’s a criminal charge. Everyone should know we’re enforcing the act. If you’ve been here longer than 30 days and haven’t registered with the government, we are now coming after you criminally,” Noem stated.

“That means we can come into your home and get you, charge you and remove you, and the fines are up to $1,000 a day,” she added, explaining the act is designed to “make sure American citizens are the only ones afforded the rights of being in this country.”

“Everybody else is going to pay consequences for being our laws.”
