Is President Donald Trump’s aggressive deportation efforts working? According to progressive media, they aren’t – or, rather, the administration is deporting illegals and taking children away from their families. More on that later. However, an exclusive from New York Post revealed that arrests of terrorist individuals has risen by 655%, or 219 known alleged terrorists compared to just 29 made at the same time last year under former President Joe Biden’s term. That’s nothing to sneeze about.
Trump Administration’s Terrorist Arrests
The data, obtained exclusively by The Post, detailed the more than 200 arrests, including Harpreet Singh, one of India’s “most wanted,” who is “accused of masterminding a grenade attack on a cop there and has ties to a US-designated terrorist organization in Pakistan,” the outlet wrote.
Singh illegally entered the US on Jan. 27, 2022, by crossing from Mexico into Arizona, and according to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official, was immediately released into the country by border patrol agents. “The Biden administration not only let a wanted terrorist into our country, but after he was arrested by Border Patrol agents, they released him into the interior of our country,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told the outlet. “While shocking, it’s not surprising given the Biden administration routinely released unvetted terrorists and criminals into American communities.”
Indian officials believe Singh is a senior operative directly linked to Harwinder Singh Rinda, a figure in the Pakistan-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), which the US designated as a foreign terrorist organization in 2002. DHS explained that Singh’s alleged connections to terrorist activities included “planning more than a dozen grenade attacks on police officials,” Business & Politics noted.
“Under President Trump and Secretary [Kristi] Noem’s leadership, ICE is unleashed to remove these violent criminals from America’s streets and put an end to catch and release,” McLaughlin promised. “We will hunt down, arrest, and lock up foreign terrorists and criminals who have operated with impunity on American soil.”
The first 50 days of Trump administration ICE arrests, released by DHS in March, reported there had been 32,809 enforcement arrests. “To put this figure into perspective,” the report stated, “in the entire fiscal year 2024, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations made 33,242 of these at-large arrests. ICE has officially made more at-large arrests in the first few weeks of President Trump’s presidency than the entire last year under the previous administration.”
The report broke the numbers down even further, detailing how 14,111 “nearly half – were convicted criminals,” and 9,980 “about a third – have pending criminal charges.” ICE also arrested 1,155 criminal gang members. “That’s almost two and a half times the 483 arrested during the same time period last year.” Furthermore, 39 of those arrests were known or suspected terrorists. “That’s nearly triple the 14 arrested during the same time period last year.”
Liberals Cry Foul on Deportation Efforts
Despite the glaringly obvious numbers of criminal illegal migrants being removed from the country, liberals are obsessed over one person, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, also known at the “Maryland Man,” claiming the suspected gang member wasn’t removed legally. They have become so offended that the alleged MS-13 gang member was sitting in jail in his home country, El Salvador, that they made PR trips to visit him.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked Arizona Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D) about these trips: “What process is due Mr. Abrego Garcia in the United States that you believe he has not received or could receive if he’s underreported, which is the Democrats’ priority?”
Ansari referred to the Supreme Court’s decision that President Trump had to “facilitate” Garcia’s return. Ingraham responded, “We got it. You will never support the deportation of this individual. That is the truth. Congresswoman, we appreciate it.”
All this fuss over a man who is in the US illegally, yet whom DHS reported on April 18 is a MS-13 gang member and suspected human trafficker. As Just the News reported, “The deported El Salvadoran man at the center of an intense court battle was flagged in 2022 by the Biden administration as a ‘suspect alien’ who was possibly involved in ‘human smuggling/trafficking’ after a stop hundreds of miles from his Maryland home.” He was stopped in Tennessee “for driving erratically and speeding by a state trooper in late November 2022 and was found to be driving an SUV full of people coming from Texas with an expired Maryland license.”
The Maryland Man is also accused of spousal abuse.
Not one word is being said about the hundreds of known or suspected terrorists being removed from the country by the liberals. Instead of applauding the efforts of the Trump administration and breathing a sigh of relief that Americans are a little bit safer, they are berating the deportation of an illegal migrant suspected of abusing his wife, belonging to a violent gang, and involved in human trafficking. Their priorities seem to be a bit skewed.
